Captain Ryan Danilson is the owner of Boat Safe America. Raised on the water and seasoned as a Firefighter, EMT, Incident Control Officer, Flood Fighter, and Confined Space Rescue Lead Tech, he founded BSA in 2017 to prevent needless injuries on the water—an urgency reinforced after responding to a fatal high-speed boating accident. Ryan’s team delivers state-specific and professional powerboat safety courses using modern equipment and top instructors. BSA has trained hundreds across agencies and companies, including PG&E, DWR, Google, EAS, and AECOM—earning consistent 5-star reviews.
USCG-licensed captain and international offshore racer. Nathalie has crossed oceans, raced to Alaska with bikes strapped to the stern, and survived an angry whale sinking the boat she was on mid-Pacific. On her own racing machine, the “restroom” is a bucket — clearly labeled with a sticker so it doesn’t get confused with the boat-cleaning bucket. She is also a certified First Aid and CPR instructor, which means she can patch you up while keeping the boat moving.
